Havelock is a paradise on earth and a part of the Andaman Islands. The Island is blessed with beautiful white sandy beaches, mangrove forests, scenic landscapes, and exciting dive sites. The crystal clear water lures us to experience multiple Water Sports in Havelock. Scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing, Jetski, and sea walking are some recommended watersports in Havelock. Let’s discuss them one after another to have a complete overview of the activities.

Scuba diving: It is the extreme level to experience underwater marine life. Scuba diving in Havelock is very popular because of its diverse marine life and multiple species of corals living beneath the sea surface. Tribe gate, Juvis, and Nemo Reef are the dedicated dive sites to have a one-time dive experience.

You have to undergo a 30 minutes training session before underwater diving. Training helps you to learn the basic skills required for a safe and smooth underwater dive. After the training session, you go to Tribe gate or Juvis for a boat dive and Nemo Reef for shore dive.

The legal age for scuba diving is a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 50 years respectively. A person suffering and taking medications to control diabetes, high blood pressure, sugar, asthma, ear infection, strokes, recent surgery, mental issues, and so on is not eligible for scuba diving.

The charge for scuba boat dive is INR 5500 per person. The package includes 30 minutes of training, 45–50 minutes of underwater dive, 2 videos, and more than 40 photos.

The charge for scuba shore dive is INR 3500 per person. The package includes 30 minutes of basic training, 25 minutes of underwater dive, 1 video, and 20 photos.

Note: Pick up and drop is complimentary if you are staying between Havelock Jetty and beach number 5.

Parasailing: The watersport lets you experience the aerial view of the sea and mangrove forests. A rope is attached to the parasailer along with a parachute and towed by a speed boat. The activity takes you to the heights of the sky and offers a birds-eye view. The time duration for the activity is 3 minutes and costs INR 3200 per person.

Snorkeling: It is an alternative way of scuba diving to explore marine life. Snorkeling is the practice to float on the surface of the water and witness marine life by dipping your head into the water. A snorkel is equipment that helps to breathe through the water and a mask covers your nose and eyes. A snorkeler is equipped with snorkeling equipment, a lifejacket, and swim fins. Snorkeling in Havelock is very popular and an easy way to explore sea life. The cost for snorkeling is INR 2500 per person and includes a brief training session, 30 minutes of snorkeling time, 1 video, and 20 photos.

Kayaking: Kayak is a non-engine small boat with 2 people sitting capacity and can be operated via paddles. Kayaking is popular to watch the sunrise, sunset, mangrove forests, and bioluminescence. Havelock lighthouse is a safe site to experience Kayaking in Havelock. The activity takes 2 hours to complete and costs INR 2500 per person. Some parts of the Mangrove are protected and prior permission is required from the Andaman forest department to visit there.
